What ? We have been learning language about Ko Au which means

Me, Myself, and I.

SO what ? Something I have learnt to say is  "E Hia o tau ? E Iwa."

Now what ? My next learning step is speaking in front of the class. 

Reciprocal Reading

What? I am learning about reciprocal reading.

 

 So what? l have learned that reciprocal reading involves students being leaders. Everyone  is expected to contribute. 

Now what? Two areas I want to get  better at are summarising and clarification.

Cloze blog

What?

I am learning how to do a cloze activity to help me with my reading

Being able to make logical predictions about what word would fit correctly into a sentence is a successful reader strategy.

So What?

We use the following procedures:

1. Read the whole text so that we can get an overall picture of the text.
2. Re-read the text and think of words that would fit into the gaps. Write them down
3. Look at the word list for this activity and see if I am correct / make changes

Now What?

I am at the following stage: A = I am independent. I read the text, select words that I feel logically and grammatically fit, and then I use the word list to confirm my predictions and / or make some small changes.

Integrated Studies

WALT: we are learning to design a new piece of furniture

I learned that you have to follow the brief

I achieved my goal because I followed all of the instructions that the teacher gave me

Next time I will modify a piece of furniture

P.E term 3

W.A.L.T throw a large ball with my hands over my head

I learned I can accurately throw a chest pass

Here is a example of my learning: rolling a ball

Next time I will try to throw higher with a bigger ball

Maths Term 3 - Multiplying by 10,1000

W.A.L.T. multiply by 10,100 and 1000.

I learned to switch the first number to the number that you are multiplying.

Here is an example of my learning: 5 x 10,100=50,100 .

Next time I will get them completed a bit faster because at the start it was hard.

Mosaic Butterfly

W.A.L.T :To create a mosaic picture using pastel and Indian Ink.

We have used chalk to break our picture up into pieces.

I learned that you need

 to press light with chalk and press harder with pastel because the pastel needs to pop.
