Integrated Studies

WALT: we are learning to design a new piece of furniture

I learned that you have to follow the brief

I achieved my goal because I followed all of the instructions that the teacher gave me

Next time I will modify a piece of furniture

P.E term 3

W.A.L.T throw a large ball with my hands over my head

I learned I can accurately throw a chest pass

Here is a example of my learning: rolling a ball

Next time I will try to throw higher with a bigger ball

Maths Term 3 - Multiplying by 10,1000

W.A.L.T. multiply by 10,100 and 1000.

I learned to switch the first number to the number that you are multiplying.

Here is an example of my learning: 5 x 10,100=50,100 .

Next time I will get them completed a bit faster because at the start it was hard.

Mosaic Butterfly

W.A.L.T :To create a mosaic picture using pastel and Indian Ink.

We have used chalk to break our picture up into pieces.

I learned that you need

 to press light with chalk and press harder with pastel because the pastel needs to pop.

Here is an example of my learning.

Next time I will draw a different animal and choose different colors for my tropical animal.

ANZAC Writing

WALT: use description in our writing.

I learned that there is a place called Flanders Field.

I achieved my goal because I used description.

Next time I will use more wow words.

Here are my best 2 sentences:
ANZAC is on the 25th of April it started in 1915.
New Zealand and Australia versed the Turks in war.

Cross Country

WALT run 1.5km for Cross Country

                                                                                                                                

l learned that 1.5km  it is very hard to run.

l achieved my goal because i completed the Cross Country.

Next time i will save all of my energy for the end of the race

My Bean

WALT:  Plant a bean, look after it and explain how it will grow.

Success criteria:
Using the right materials to plant our bean
Keep a journal on my bean.
Water my bean and take care of it.

Reading

WALT: read a passage from one of our favourite books.

We can do this when:

we read with the right voice level.
we read with emotion
we read so it sounds like talking
we are reading at the right pace.
